After years of travelling the world and living across the ocean I’ve found my home in Grande Prairie. I was born in the Peace Country, Fairview to be exact, and I adore our little piece of the world. The long summers, the snowy winters and the close knit communities are my favourite things.

In the summer of 2024 I found myself on an epic adventure, driving the Dempster Highway with my parents in a motorhome. We passed through Whitehorse and ended up wandering into Cultured Fine Cheese. My Mom and I had a great experience in the shop. The knowledgeable cheesemonger lead us to buying a blue Stilton, a caramelized onion cheddar and another delicious variety of cheese who’s name escapes me. I thought to myself…now, this is something my small city needs!

So, here we are. If you are reading this, A Counter Full is in it’s start up phase. There is a lot of organizing going on; securing premium cheese suppliers, hunting down display coolers, painting second hand furniture and learning all sorts of business things!
